General information
My Turnz is a method that builds positive character traits in young people
who lack essential guidance. It creates a foundation for a young person to
actualise life principles needed to thrive in a community. My Turnz is a
set of cards consisting of eighty-seven stories about courage, humanity,
temperance, justice, and wisdom. Each story involves a situation in which
the youth is faced with a challenge and takes virtuous action to resolve.
Young people re-enact the stories, and imagine themselves in the story so
they can ‘see’ and ‘feel’ themselves in the situation—be in the story as
much as they’re able. Short of it actually happening to them, it’s the
closest you can get.
